Ain Agan & Andre Maaker

Ain Agan & Andre Maaker are both highly regarded musicians in the Estonian music scene. Two different generations and two different guitars, yet on stage, these two men sound as one! The musicians perform Ain Agan’s compositions.

Ain Agan is a cornerstone of Estonian music and a living legend. He has participated in countless ensembles, and his playing can be heard on nearly 150 albums released in Estonia, including solo projects such as "Ramp" (1995)," Ain Agan / Tallinn Chamber Orchestra" (2005), "Pictures" (2009), "Now I Know" (2016), "AganagA" (2019), and "New Moon" (2024). Agan is known for his versatility—he is a highly respected guitarist in jazz, pop, and folk ensembles. He is also the founder and artistic director of the Viljandi Guitar Festival.

Andre Maaker is a shining representative of the younger generation, who began his studies under the legendary Tiit Paulus. Since then, he has been inspired by the various possibilities of guitar playing, drawing influences from jazz, rock, pop, folk, electronic, and classical music. Maaker has collaborated with most of Estonia’s top musicians and is the founder of the record label "Kuula!". In 2014, he released his solo album "Minu laulu pidu".
